Procurement Officer-Senior

Our client is seeking an individual who can deliver professional and client-focused procurement and contracting services. This individual must be a strategic thinker with sound judgment and produce high quality work product based on rigorous analysis. In addition to an ability to plan, organize, schedule and coordinate work, set priorities and ensure that deadlines are consistently met, this individual must also be a team player with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills in dealing with peers and senior management.

 

DUTIES

  1. Preparing complex types of bid documents including Supply Arrangements (SA), Request for Standing Offers, Request for Proposals (RFP), etc
  2. Evaluating Statements of Work (SOW) for completeness and adherence to procurement regulations
  3. Developing bid evaluation criteria
  4. Evaluating bids against mandatory requirements
  5. Negotiating pricing, delivery, etc. prior to award
  6. Recommending award or issuance of contracts or standing offers or supply arrangements
  7. Performing contract follow-up including taking appropriate legal action such as termination of contracts
  8. Assisting in the development of procurement policies and procedures
  9. Providing guidance to procurement personnel regarding potential procurement strategies and post contractual issues
